In 1999, Chris Riley created and published the first issue of Terror of the Midnight Robber under the Electro-Arc Studios banner, with the goal of showcasing Trinidad and Tobago’s unique folklore characters in a dynamic and modern comic series. The title was extremely popular in the Trinidad and Tobago comic scene, prompting Chris to found Three Quarter Comics in 2009 with his brother, Wendell. Over the next decade, the brothers co-created and released a wide range of comics in print and online, including more issues of Midnight Robber, Mango Chiren, Velocity Corps, and Southern Exposure. Three Quarter Comics was founded in the independent spirit of creator-owned properties and is committed to producing some of the most daring, exciting and original work in the industry.
Wendell Riley grew up on a steady diet of comics, movies, and Stephen King novels in his formative years, and began working on Terror of the Midnight Robber while still in college. He is currently the head writer at Three Quarter Comics and continues his work on Terror of the Midnight Robber and Mango Chiren. In addition to his work with 3QC, Wendell began working as a producer and production manager in animation and documentary filmmaking in 2011, earning a Daytime Emmy Award Nomination in 2017. He currently lives in Shreveport, Louisiana.
Christopher Riley began his comic book career with short stints in the animation industry in New York and doing ink assists for Marvel Comics after studying at The Kubert School in Dover, NJ. He returned to Trinidad and Tobago determined to help develop the local comic scene and created Terror of the Midnight Robber. Chris oversees the creative direction of 3QC, and currently handles the visual work on Terror of the Midnight Robber and Mango Chiren. Chris has been a major contributor to the Trinidadian convention scene, meeting and sharing his work with fans of all ages. In 2019, he co-founded Panda Events, a convention company dedicated to creating fun, engaging and inclusive events for comic, movie, anime and cosplay fans in T&T.
